In Honor of Juneteenth

Only for Leduc Art & Antiques patrons! A special screening of the documentary featuring legendary American jazz musicians, Max Roach and Abby Lincoln, important figures in the Civil Rights struggle of the early 1960s, during their trip to Paris, France for a one-time concert on May 19, 1967. That memorable performance presented The Max Roach Quartet, with Johnny Griffin, tenor sax, Maurice Vander, piano and Gilbert Rovère on bass, joined by Abbey Lincoln. The Film director is Francois Leduc, a one-time Westborough resident, but also a renowned French music publisher, and this screening is unfortunately his posthumous US premiere.
